  1. Dear Brethren,

I am a preacher at a small very conservative Baptist Church north of San Francisco. I read of your church’s being graffitied from a friend in Rancho Arroyo.

May God bless you as your story circulates around the state and country, and stand fast as a witness to the power and love of our Lord Jesus Christ!

    Yours in Him,

We will keep checking your website :)

  4. Hello and greetings to the new and expanded Shanks family from all of us in the SNOW! Need your snail mail addy for Christmas card!!! email me. As I write, it just started snowing AGAIN!!! Miss you all.

  5. Pastor Shanks:

Amen to your letter published in today’s Tribune! My wife and I left the local ELCA congregation four years ago because it would not affirm the national church’s position on homosexual clergy and same sex “unions”. We are now active members of the Missouri Synod Lutheran Church in town.

Raised in the Southern Baptist church, one of my favorite hymns is “Stand Up, Stand Up for Jesus”.

Thank you and God Bless You for standing up for Him!

  6. Dear John,

Thank you for taking the time to be an encouragement. I have not known quite what to expect, but am strengthened knowing that there are many out there disturbed about what is going on in our churches.

    Great hymn!
