We had a special treat this last Sunday. Daniel and Jamie Mulfinger were down from First Baptist Community Church of Los Gatos, and ministered to us in music. Jamie is a wife, mother, and wonderful flautist. They ministered to us with selections including “Be Still My Soul” and “I Love to Tell the Story”. Thank you so much!

The congregation voted to carpet the nurseries and classrooms in the Nursery/South wing of the building. As soon as the carpet for the nurseries is chosen, we will get this job scheduled. We praise the Lord that we have the ability to do this much needed repair.
We enjoyed having Pastor Mark Mincy and his family with us from Heritage Baptist Church in Antioch, CA. Pastor Mincy is the Music Pastor at Heritage, and he and his family are getting ready to move to New York city to minister as an Assistant Pastor in Manhattan.
We were blessed through Pastor Mincy’s piano playing and the testimony in song from his wife Tricia.

We had a great time Sunday at Lopez Bible Camp. We ate the meal in the dining room, relaxed on the grounds, and had a wonderful service in the chapel.

We need to get the carpets done in the nurseries and take care of some other church business, so we will be having a congregational meeting on May 20 at 7 p.m.
We also have a lot of work that needs done around the church, so mark your calendars for a work day on Saturday, June 2. Come prepared to get a lot done!
We will be having the Brass Ensemble from Maranatha Baptist Bible College with us on Wednesday, June 20. Invite friends and neighbors out to this event–you won’t want to miss it.
This Sunday (May 6, 2007) we will be heading up to Lopez Canyon Bible Camp for a church picnic immediately after the morning service. Please contact Pastor Shanks if you need directions.
Remember that the evening service will be at 5 p.m. in the chapel at Lopez, so there will NOT be a service at 51 Foothill Blvd.
Bring a salad and a dessert along, and we’ll see you there!
